Ms. Smith has over 13 years of experience in business consulting and 4 years heading operations for two start-up firms. She has helped telecommunications companies, financial services firms, not-for-profits, government entities, and other organizations to streamline operations and offer more to their constituents without sacrificing quality. She has managed multiple initiatives including: business process improvement engagements; strategic sourcing and merger activities for several banks; development of business plans; management of RFP development and vendor selection projects; IT requirements development and website design; and corporate strategy initiatives. In early 2007, Ms. Smith formed Seabrook Smith Company and has continued to team with clients to bring clarity to their initiatives and help institute significant organizational change.
Previously, Ms. Smith worked at consulting firms including Booz Allen & Hamilton, Andersen, Mitchell Madison Group (later marchFIRST), and Chicago’s Civic Consulting Alliance. She was Director of Operations for VITC, a wholesale long distance telecommunications company with operations in Asia, and served as Vice President at Listen Up Group (part of Syrus Global, an SAI Global Company), responsible for executing operations initiatives and coordinating a variety of client service and business development activities.
Ms. Smith is a supporter of The Children's Clinic, through the Infant Welfare Society of Oak Park and River Forest, and has served as a girls softball coach with Chicago's Near North Little League. She has held leadership positions in various community and alumni groups. She has traveled the world and lived or worked in several countries including Iran, France, India, and the UK.
She earned an MBA from the University of Virginia's Darden Graduate School of Business, and holds a BS degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
